We’re now heading into week 4 of Fantasy Baseball and some players are a little dinged up while others are just starting to hit their stride. Then there are the players who just haven’t found it yet and it may be time to find some replacements. Whatever the case may be, the waiver wire is always there with a few players that are hot. The question is, which one of those players has a higher upside?

FOX Sports: Assets becoming increasingly available on the waiver wire
Comparing the waiver wire to marriage and human tendencies may be the greatest comparison I have seen in some time. Bravo Joel Beall (FOX Sports) for calling it like it is. This is not to say that you are that person with the “grass is greener” mentality, but many are and you may be able to capitalize on that lack of patience or whatever you want to call it. Pablo Sandoval is the perfect example. He is owned in 80.6% of FOX Sports fantasy leagues, has a catchy panda moniker, but might just be a little too heavy set even after his diet. Whatever your taste is, he’s not as sexy when batting .175, but chances are, he will get back to his normal self and you will be the benefactor in the long run. For other players that should be on a team, but aren’t, visit Beall’s article over at FOX Sports.
XN Sports: Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: Justin Morneau, Mike Zunino Make Strong Adds
Each week, Josh Collacchi (XN Sports) plays the waiver wire game and presents options at each position. Of course he also gives his reasons why those players have been chosen, for exampled, George Springer, who has finally been called up to the big leagues. He has all the tools to be great and his stats in the minors back that up where he hit over .300 throughout his minor league career. He also hit 37 home runs and stole 45 bases. If that doesn’t wet your appetite enough, read the rest of Collacchi’s article to find out who you should pick up at what position.
CBS Sports: Waiver Wire: Arms race has begun
Pitchers have given their owners some wild rides so far this season especially in the closer role. The same could be said about a few hitters. Let’s take a look at Jim Johnson for example. He was Michael Hurcomb‘s (CBS Sports) big undervalued reliever coming into the season and after two weeks, he was given the hook. On the other hand, the Oakland Athletics are unconventional to say the least and as Hurcomb points out, they benched Grant Balfour in 2012 only to give it back to him. The point is there are guys on the waiver wire that are worth adding such as Edinson Volquez. The Pirates pitching coach has successfully revived the carers of A.J. Burnett and Francisco Liriano. Now he’s got his hands on Volquez and the drums seem to be playing in the same beat. For additional waiver and player insight, visit Hurcomb’s article over at CBS Sports.
MLB: Capable players available on waivers for Week 4
Week 4 brings a jam packed schedule with most teams playing around seven games. What that means for you is picking up the right pieces to maximize your starts and Fred Zinkie (MLB.com) is helping you out. His list of capable players on the waiver wire for week 4 includes the likes of Eric Young Jr. and Justin Morneau both who have been mentioned recently in previous articles on FantasyPros. Maybe it’s the air in Colorado, but Morneau seems refreshed with a batting average above .300 all April and Eric Young Jr. is not slacking himself. He has 9 stolen bases in his last 9 games. It is unlikely that these numbers couldn’t help out someone’s team for week 4. To see who else can help out your team, check out Zinkie’s article.
Sports Chat Place: Waiver Wire Update 4/18
Andrew Jett (Sports Chat Place) has the right idea saying that it’s Friday and you may need to make some lineup adjustments now for the upcoming week of fantasy baseball. Whether it is a temporary fill-in or someone that is heating up and ready to contribute regularly through the season, Jett has recommendations for you. If Dee Gordon is still available, then take advantage now. His matchup against the Diamondbacks this week is favorable and although he may not keep up his high .373 batting average, he is likely to continue swiping bags providing a nice boost in that category. For his other recommended players, visit his post and see who else you should possibly target on the waiver wire.
