Best DraftKings Plays for Week 6

At $9,400, Peyton Manning tops the QB chart, but experts believe it's worth it.

At $9,400, Peyton Manning tops the QB chart, but experts believe it’s worth it.

Each week brings a new set of matchups, but consistently, we have experts that do very well at picking the right players for their daily lineups. Last week was no different as Kevin English (Draft Sharks) finished at the top of our Daily Fantasy Accuracy Cup leaderboard, making it his second Top 5 finish in as many weeks.

Bragging rights are always nice to have and Kevin now surely has them after finishing 2nd in the DraftKings $2.2 Millionaire Maker Contest. That’s right, out of over 90,000 or so entries, he finished one shy of the top million dollar prize. Congratulations to Kevin and his success (and winnings)! With that said, we’ve asked him along with our other top experts from last week what one player would make their daily fantasy roster on Sunday and why. Give below a read and it may just improve your chance at taking home some cash yourself. For all your DraftKings player prices, check out our DraftKings Cheat Sheet for Week 6.

ROB GRONKOWSKI (TE, NE) – $5,800
Gronk is $900 cheaper than top priced TE Julius Thomas. The Patriot is also coming off a game in which he played a season-high 79.3% of the snaps. Most importantly, he’s scored four times this season, posting one touchdown in three straight games.
– Kevin English – Draft Sharks

Peyton Manning (QB, DEN) – $9,400
One of the big mistakes that newer players make is applying the value formula (Expected Fantasy Points / salary) to all positions, even the QB (Shaun Hill Week 1 anyone?). While I do think it’s easier than normal this week to go cheap with Tom Brady, I’m choosing to get my guaranteed points out of Peyton. The Broncos have a putrid run game without Ball and are facing a stout Jets run defense. We’ll see another Broncos air attack, meaning a floor of 25 FP out of Peyton. With the cheaper skill players, you can make it work. So in the tune of the Nationwide song… “Peyton Manning’s on my team.”
– David Kitchen – FantasyInsiders

I am willing to spend the big money on a quarterback that is in line to throw 4 touchdowns this Sunday. The Jets are allowing the 4th most points to QBs in the NFL at 20 per game. The Broncos already throw a majority of time in the red zone, and I expect it to increase with the loss of starting running back Montee Ball. The Broncos are averaging 40 pass plays per game and you should pay for the Broncos QB.
– Tony Cincotta – RotoExperts

BISHOP SANKEY (RB, TEN) – $3,500
I’m doubling down on the Titans this week with Sankey. Personally, I haven’t rostered Sankey on a single roster all year, but now is the time to hop on the bandwagon. Shonn Greene was limited in Wednesday’s practice and trended downward today by completely missing practice. For $3,500, you get a player who likely gets the bulk of the carries vs. the win-less Jaguars.
– ehafner – RotoGrinders

JORDAN CAMERON (TE, CLE) – $3700
I am looking to count on Cameron when building lineups at DraftKings for Week 6. He is practicing in full for the first time in weeks because of a shoulder injury, and he’s priced down ($3,700) due to a lack of production.
Bryan Fontaine – Pro Football Focus

BRANDON MARSHALL (WR, DEN) – $6,300
The Bears travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons in a game that Vegas has as the highest over/under of the weekend at 54. With Marshall’s price tag on DraftKings down $2,000 from Week 3, and down $800 from last week, there is value to be had here. Take into consideration that the Falcons are giving up 21.6 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers in PPR formats. Look for Cutler to force feed the ball to Marshall after he received just five targets last week. Moreover, according to Pro Football Focus, Atlanta has the 6th worst pass coverage rating while the Bears are averaging the 2nd most pass plays in the red zone. With Marshall and Alshon Jeffery both healthy this week, the big, physical receivers should be able to handle the Falcons’ secondary with ease.
