Best DraftKings Plays for Week 7

Larry Donnell (TE) New York Giants

“With a fantastic matchup against the Cowboys (Larry Donnell), the value potential is too great to pass him up.” – Brett Talley

As each week passes by, our experts continue to win cash over at DraftKings. Every week, we’ve had multiple experts finish in the money competing in the $2.2M Millionaire Maker contest, and that is no small feat. For that reason, we ask our top finishing Daily Fantasy Accuracy Cup (DFAC) experts from each week who they’re adding to their lineup this Sunday and why.

When playing in a competition such as the Millionaire Maker, there are often times you need to find some value picks with high potential. Based on the DraftKings Cheat Sheet, here are our experts picks as well as the cost of each player for Week 7.

LARRY DONNELL (TE, NYG) – $3,500
Anytime you can get a guy in your lineup that has one catch in his last two games, you have to do it, right? Donnell followed up his three touchdown outburst with two complete duds, totaling just six yards on one catch in the last two weeks. That very recent history plus the complete lack of any track record prior to this year makes Donnell an extremely risky play. But at this price, and with a fantastic matchup against the Cowboys, the value potential is too great to pass him up. Plus, it’s slim pickings at tight end this weekend with Jimmy Graham out, Rob Gronkowski playing Thursday night, and Julius Thomas being very expensive in a bad matchup.
– Brett Talley (The Fantasy Fix)

JUSTIN HUNTER (WR, TEN) – $3,700
We have seen Hunter trending in the right direction the last couple of weeks, both in terms of snap count and productivity. In Week 6 he received the most offensive snaps by any skilled position player not named Charlie Whitehurst for the second week in a row. While his targets over that 2 week span haven’t exactly been awe-inspiring, Hunter has been productive with them, turning 10 targets into 176 yards and 1 touchdown. I like Hunter’s chances of burning Bahaud Breeland, who PFF grades out as the 4th worst cornerback in pass coverage, and he should have no problem paying off his measly $3,700 price tag.
Dan Gaspar (FantasyInsiders)

ANDRE ELLINGTON (RB, ARI) – $6,500
Ellington is a really intriguing play this week, and one that is going to be in most of my DraftKings lineups this week. The Raiders are currently the No. 4 matchup for running backs, and they’ve yielded big fantasy days to Branden Oliver and Lamar Miller in their last two contests. Ellington is really starting to hit his stride and gives the added bonus of being a strong receiver out of the backfield.
– Jeff Ratcliffe (Pro Football Focus)

BEN TATE (RB, CLE) – $5,300
At $5,300, Tate will be in most, if not all of my DraftKings lineups this weekend. The Browns continue to put a lot of carries on his plate, so Tate should feast against the woeful Jaguars defense. He won’t do much in the passing game and that admittedly hurts in DK’s point per reception format, but the pure volume of carries he should receive makes him a very nice value in this weekend’s contests.
Greg Smith (The Fake Football)

BISHOP SANKEY (RB, TEN) – $3,900
I know he’s been frustrating, but Sankey at $3,900 is too hard for me to pass up this week. Shonn Greene is out again and Sankey should see at least 15 carries (which is hard to say about anyone priced similarly this week). The Redskins have only allowed one rushing touchdown to opposing running backs this year, but Sankey’s likely volume this week will have me building quite a few lineups around Him.
Nick Raducanu (ProjectRoto)

RUSSELL WILSON (QB, SEA) – $6,800
I love Wilson against the Rams this week. After a brutal game against the Cowboys, Wilson has a much easier task taking the field against St. Louis. At numberFire.com, we have Wilson projected as the No. 5 QB with 19.65 fantasy points. With a salary of only $6,800, that’s a huge bargain.
