Best DraftKings Plays for Week 16

DraftKings_140x106In daily play, championship week is every week which is what makes last weekend so special and this upcoming week just as special. Speaking of last week, out of 100,000+ contestants, Drew Dinkmeyer (RotoExperts) took  home the $1M prize in the DraftKings Millionaire Maker Finale! We here at FantasyPros would like to congratulate Drew on his incredible win, not sure anyone will get a much better early Christmas gift than that. However, thanks to DraftKings, an early Christmas gift is still possible.

As we have done all season long, the experts who finished at the top of the leaderboard in our DFAC competition were asked to provide their thoughts on daily plays heading into this weekend. It never hurts to get advice from the experts who are successful at this week-in and week-out so without further ado, here are your best DraftKings Plays for Week 16.

DONTE MONCRIEF (IND at DAL) – $4,100
“The Colts have little to play for and rumors are swirling that they’ll be cautious with their ailing receivers, T.Y. Hilton and Reggie Wayne. Hilton seems likely to sit this one out with a hamstring injury, and Wayne may be on a snap count. The biggest beneficiary is Donte Moncrief, who could be in for a monster game against the Cowboys’ turnstile secondary. Moncrief is priced outside of the top-40 at DraftKings, but easily has top-10 upside. I have lots of exposure to him in DraftKings tournaments where I can fall back on their late-swap functionality if Hilton is active.”
Austin Lee (FootballGuys)

“Assuming T.Y. Hilton is out, Donte Moncrief will be in all (or at least most) of my daily lineups. He is our top value at DraftKings. He certainly carries some risk, but if Hilton is out, Moncrief should play at least 70 percent of the snaps, probably more. With that kind of run, and Hilton’s targets up for grabs, Moncrief should be able to produce in a high-scoring game against a shaky Dallas secondary.”
John Paulsen (4for4)

TRAVIS KELCE (KC at PIT) – $4,600
“With Travis Kelce finally receiving the snaps he deserves in Kansas City, he’s an outstanding option at tight end this week. Emerging as the Chiefs top receiving threat, Kelce has 12 catches for 169 yards and a touchdown over his last two games, while averaging 7.5 targets. In Week 16, he faces a Steelers defense that has allowed an opposing tight end to find the end zone in six of their last seven outings. Pittsburgh’s secondary will also likely be without Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu on Sunday, making the matchup even sweeter.”
Justin Boone (The Score)

JOIQUE BELL (DET at CHI) – $6,000
“In the last three weeks, Bell has pulled far away from the always nicked up Reggie Bush, and mostly-hoax Theo Riddick. In his last three games, Bell has been one of the top producers in all of Fantasy Football, averaging 19.4 FF points per game (23.1 PPR). He’s done so on 18.7 carries plus 3.7 receptions per game in that three-game stretch, leading to 114.4 total yards and 1.25 TDs per game (3 rush TD, 1 rec. TD) in that span. This week, Bell gets the ‘dead money’ Bears defense in cold weather (good for pounding the run game). I’ll take it.”
R.C. Fischer (Fantasy Football Metrics)

C.J. ANDERSON (DEN at CIN) – $6,900
“Anderson will be the foundation of my rosters this week. He’s my third ranked running back this week, and he comes at a nice discount comparerd to the top options Le’Veon Bell ($9,800) and Jamaal Charles ($8,000). Denver has been uncharacteristically run-heavy over their last 3 games, running the ball on nearly 60% of the time. Meanwhile, the Bengals have given up a healthy 4.3 yards per carry on the season, and the fourth most rushing touchdowns (15). I expect C.J. Anderson to be a big part of the Broncos game plan once again, and he comes at a nice enough discount that you won’t have to sacrifice a lot to get him in your lineup.”
Ryan Forbes (2MugsFF)

TRE MASON (STL vs. NYG) – $4,600
“I really like Tre Mason at his price. The Rams are likely to run plenty against the Giants’ 30th-ranked run defense, so Mason should have a big day. He’s 10th in my fantasy RB rankings, but only the 16th most expensive back on DraftKings. Also, if it looks Sunday morning like T.Y. Hilton won’t play, I’ll find ways to get Donte Moncrief ($4,100) in as well.”
John Halpin (Fox Sports)
