FanDuel Lineup: Tuesday May 26

Jacob deGrom has a favorable matchup against the Phillies Tuesday

Jacob deGrom has a favorable matchup against the Phillies Tuesday

There are a full slate of games on schedule Tuesday night as all 30 teams are in action. With so many day games played on Memorial Day yesterday, everyone has night games tonight.

There are weather concerns in Minnesota, Cincinnati and Cleveland, so make sure to check the weather reports in those matchups before your contests lock and as always check lineups as well. There are a few aces on the mound tonight, including Clayton Kershaw, David Price and Madison Bumgarner. Be prepared to spend a large chunk of your budget, if you choose to go with one of these top performers.

Offensively Houston-Baltimore, White Sox-Toronto and Boston-Minnesota have the greatest projected run totals according to Vegas. San Francisco and the New York Yankees present good stacking options as well.

Pitcher

deGrom presents a great valuable option for a pitcher tonight. He had 11 strikeouts in his last start and faces a Philadelphia Phillies’ lineup that has a team batting AVG of .240 (12th in the NL) and has only scored 149 runs (last in the NL). The Phillies will be sending Jerome Williams to the mound, a below-average SP. The Mets’ offense broke out yesterday, scoring six runs in the opening game of this series, so hopefully they can continue the hitting streak and help get deGrom the win.

Other Notables

Catcher

Like many of the Giants, Posey has been hot of late. He is batting .341 over his last 10 games, including two home runs and 10 runs batted in. He enters tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers on a 12-game hitting streak. He has a favorable pitching matchup tonight against Brewers RHP Matt Garza (5.71 ERA). Posey will look to make it 13 games tonight.

Other Notables

First Base

Like Posey, Belt has been hot over his last 10 games, batting .366 over that stretch, including four home runs and 12 runs batted in. He is a .333 hitter against RHP and a has a .329 average on the road. In fact, all of his home runs this season have come on the road, and he faces Garza tonight, who has given up eight home runs so far this season.

Other Notables

Second Base

It’s always risky picking Colorado Rockies players outside of Coors Field, but LeMahieu has a favorable matchup tonight against Cincinnati Reds RHP Michael Lorenzen. Additionally, the next best park to hit in is Great American Ballpark. LeMahieu actually has better numbers against RHP (.343) than he does against LHP (.303) and he’ll look to add to that AVG against the Reds this evening.

Other Notables

Third Base

Mike Moustakas is hitting .351 over his last 10 games. He is a .357 hitter vs. RHP and owns a .371 average on the road. He and the Royals take on RHP Adam Warren and the Yankees tonight in the Bronx. At this price point, Moustakas presents excellent value at third base.

Other Notables

Shortstop

I’m riding the SF infield tonight. Like his teammates, Crawford enters tonight’s game on his own hot streak, hitting .415 over his last 10 games. He is an excellent option at SS at this price.

Other Notables

Outfield

Holliday is having a great start to the season, batting .317/.433/.441. He has good numbers at home (.343) and against RHP (.324) this season. The Cardinals take on Archie Bradley and the Arizona Diamondback in St. Louis tonight.

Jones is batting .302 against RHP and .342 at home this season. In fact, Jones is a .342/.381/.645 hitter at Camden Yards, including five home runs and 15 runs batted in. He faces RHP Scott Feldman (6.10 ERA) tonight in Baltimore.

Bruce is actually a better hitter against LHP (.270) than he is against RHP (.209) but has better power numbers against RHP (five HR/12 RBI) than he does against LHP (two HR/seven RBI). Bruce is also a much better hitter at home (.274) than on the road (.188). He faces southpaw Jorge De La Rosa (3.79 ERA) and the Rockies tonight.
