With injuries piling up to star players around the league, most fantasy owners will be forced to go to the waiver wire for Week 6.

Ownership totals are in ESPN leagues as of Tuesday.
Blake Bortles – QB – Jacksonville Jaguars – 27.5 percent
Jacksonville is struggling as a whole, but Bortles is throwing the ball more than just about any other quarterback in the NFL, putting up some huge raw numbers along the way.
On Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bortles had the best game of his career, completing 23-of-33 passes for 303 yards and four touchdowns. With Allen Hurns emerging as a top target and Julius Thomas returning from injury, Bortles should continue to air it out often while getting enough support to be worth a fantasy look.
Bortles has the physical skills and potential to be a good quarterback in the NFL. The No. 3 overall pick from the 2014 draft already looks much improved from his rookie season and should continue to get better. Potential owners will have to keep an eye on Bortles, as he suffered an AC sprain during the game against Tampa Bay. However, Bortles played well through the injury, and is not expected to miss any time.
Charcandrick West – RB – Kansas City Cheifs – 0.3 percent
Jamaal Charles owners will immediately think of Knile Davis as a potential replacement, but West could turn out to be the more valuable pickup. Following Charles’ exit, West actually received more touches than Davis over the rest of the game. West totaled only 31 yards on seven carries, but figures to at least split carries going forward and has some big-play potential.
West didn’t receive a ton of attention coming out of Abilene Christian in 2014, but scored very well on a number of tests at the combine. With excellent athleticism, West could be an intriguing back to watch moving forward.
Willie Snead – WR – New Orleans Saints – 29 percent
The second-year receiver from Ball State is quickly developing chemistry with Drew Brees, which could lead to strong numbers over the rest of the season. Snead caught six passes for 141 yards in New Orleans’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Perhaps more importantly, he had a team-high 11 targets in an offense that likes to spread the ball around.
Brandin Cooks will still likely be the primary receiver, but Snead has done enough over the past few weeks to remain an important part of the Saints’ offense. New Orleans may be struggling right now, but still should put up big fantasy numbers in the passing game.
Gary Barnidge – TE – Cleveland Browns – 37.5 percent
Few expected Barnidge to compete for targets in a crowded Browns offense. Even after a couple of strong games to begin the season, many believed Barnidge would slow down soon enough, and he didn’t get much fantasy attention.
Not only has Barnidge put together a few more strong games, he’s leading the Browns in receptions through five weeks. Barnidge thrilled owners with 139 yards in Sunday’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, plus a highlight-reel touchdown. All of that has helped Barnidge rise to ninth among tight ends in fantasy points this season. This pace may be unsustainable, but Barnidge deservs a look for most owners.
