Yahoo NBA Lineup Advice: Tuesday November 10
Can Chris Bosh be a poor man's Anthony Davis Tuesday?

Can Chris Bosh be a poor man’s Anthony Davis Tuesday?

I cannot believe a week has gone by already! How did you do in your daily lineups? I have been cashing in pretty well lately. Last week I gave you lineup advice and I hope you listened. The lineup I provided put me in the top half of my 50/50 cash games. I am here once again to help you set your lineup for the Tuesday slate. Before I do that, though, let us take a quick look at my previous suggestions.

The lineup I suggested last Tuesday put up 229.20 points on Yahoo. The lineup consisted of three players who scored more than 30 points, four players who scored more than 20 points and a dud who did not even top 15 points. Kyle Lowry was my best suggestion. Lowry tallied 56.00 fantasy points on Yahoo last Tuesday. My dud was Nikola Mirotic. Mirotic only scored 12.5 fantasy points. That ugly point total is almost nine points under his nightly average.

Even with the Mirotic mishap, the rest of my lineup succeeded and I was quite pleased. Now let us look at the November 10 slate of games and put together another formidable lineup.

PG – Deron Williams $26

Williams has been banged up for about three or four years now. However, he seems to play through those injuries. Williams is getting a great matchup against the Pelicans. The Pelicans are giving up the most points in the NBA right now. Williams is averaging 26.7 fantasy points on Yahoo. With his salary, that is basically a point per dollar. Williams will probably not see more than 30 minutes, but I expect him to put up enough points in the time he has to be worth playing him. I am spending less at this position this week in order to put my money into some of the other big names at other positions.

SG – Khris Middleton $24

I am looking at playing the matchup at the shooting guard position just like I did with the point guard position. Boston has not defended the shooting guard position well this season. Middleton has been putting up good numbers, and with Michael Carter-Williams not playing, Middleton has been asked to do more ball-handling. Middleton’s average fantasy point totals would be closer to 30 points per game if it was not for two bad games. He is currently averaging 25.2 fantasy points on Yahoo. He is averaging over 14 points per game and has been hitting close to two three-pointers a game. He can also be relied on for a few rebounds and a steal here and there too.

G – Eric Gordon $25

Gordon has been great thus far this year. He is seeing a good amount of playing time, which has helped his stats. He has less value in yearly leagues because he is injury prone, but who cares in daily? Gordon is averaging 27.9 fantasy points on Yahoo. Over the last three games, he has averaged just over 21 points per game. He has been shooting the three very well lately too. Gordon will be going up against Dallas, a team he just scored 21 points against three days ago.

SF – Kevin Durant $47

Durant has been a beast in fantasy this season. It seems like his foot injury is behind him. He is averaging 30 points per game. He has also rebounded the ball well lately. Durant has recorded more than 50 fantasy points on Yahoo in each of his last three games. The Thunder have a good matchup against Washington on Tuesday, and Durant should be able to exploit a team who struggles to defend the shooting forward position.

PF – Chris Bosh $30

I was trying to put both Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis in my lineup, but I could not find the right combination of players. Bosh has played really well over the last four games, and with his matchup could score similar totals to Davis. He is averaging more than 30 fantasy points on Yahoo during that span. He has a beatable matchup against the Lakers on Tuesday too. Bosh is well worth his $30 salary and is the poor man’s version of Davis my lineup needs.

F – Nemanja Bjelica $20

Nemanja Bjelica is a low-cost option who can score. He has played well lately and is facing a Charlotte defense who has struggled to stop any teams this year. Bjelica is averaging over 20 fantasy points on Yahoo and put up over 40 fantasy points in his last game. I do not expect him to be close to that total, but at his price he only needs to score around 20 points to be considered valuable.

C – Robin Lopez $16

Lopez has started to trend upward lately. He had a double-double last game and has improved the more he has become familiar playing with Carmelo Anthony. The Raptors have not defended the center position very well and Lopez should have an opportunity to score and grab a significant amount of boards.

UTIL – Dwight Powell $12

Powell is the best value I could afford with only $12 left. It was between Powell and Jeremy Lamb. I chose Powell based on his matchup. Just like Deron Williams, Powell is facing off against a bad Pelicans’ defense. These two teams squared off against one another three days ago and Powell put up 14 points and seven rebounds. Powell will not have this low of a price tag if he continues his current pace. Play him now while his value is great.
