Yahoo NBA Lineup Advice: Tuesday November 24
Damian Lillard could be a lesser-owned player among Tuesday's slate

Damian Lillard could be lesser-owned than usual considering Tuesday’s slate

Have you taken the plunge and tried Yahoo DFS yet? If not, I suggest giving it a try. FanDuel and DraftKings are not the only good daily fantasy options.

Last week was the first week I did not finish in the top half of my 50/50 contests. I finished with 220.2 total points for the second week in a row, but this time it was not enough.

My best plays were Kyle Lowry, Thaddeus Young, and Will Barton. Together they combined for 116.8 points, more than half of my total points. My worst plays were Nicolas Batum and Harrison Barnes. Batum, a guy averaging over 30 points a game, finished with only 10.7 points. His poor performance drastically affected my points total.

Well, this is a new week with new teams and players. Here is who I like for the Tuesday slate. Just a reminder, my lineups are more geared for cash games. Cash games pay out a higher percentage of players, and you have a better chance of earning a profit than in GPP tournaments.

PG – Damian Lillard $42

I am fading Stephen Curry tonight. Curry is going up against a great matchup, but I am going to take a risk and pick a PG who is likely to be less owned. Lillard is still a solid option, but costs $14 less than Curry. I can use that $14 on another position. If Curry goes off for 72 points I will likely lose, but if he only hits around 50 points I should be able to make up those points at another position. If he hits less than 40 points I have a chance at finishing toward the top of the contest. I like Lillard because of his matchup too. Lillard is facing the Bulls and will be going up against either a banged-up Derrick Rose or an older, much less talented Kirk Hinrich. Lillard is a great chalk option and is averaging 42 fantasy points per game.

SG – Will Barton $23

Barton is going up against a Clippers’ defense who has been only average defending the shooting guard position. He will be going up against J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford, with both not known for their defense. Barton is averaging over 15 points and six rebounds per game over the last five games. He has earned over 30 fantasy points in four of his last six games and is averaging 27 points per game for the season. I really like Barton’s value here and think he can hit close to his average per game.

G – Avery Bradley $18

I filled in this position toward the end of finishing my lineup. I did not have much money to spend, but I think Bradley could be a real asset on Tuesday. Bradley is going up against a decent Atlanta defense, but even Atlanta has struggled to stop the SG position over the last few games. With Marcus Smart sidelined by injury, Bradley is now starting and has been shooting the three-ball like crazy. He might not have the best shooting percentage of the night, but in daily fantasy that does not matter. He is averaging 25 fantasy points on Yahoo, but over the last three games has scored 37, 29 and 40 points. I am hoping to ride Bradley’s little hot streak.

SF – Thabo Sefolosha $10

Speaking of that good Atlanta defense, I am looking at Sefolosha to put up a decent amount of points for a guy who costs the minimum salary of $10. Sefolosha is a better defender than scorer. He is only averaging 6.9 points per game. However, if he can score close to double-digits he should be able to finish with more than 15 fantasy points. Not bad for a guy who only costs $10 and allows me to invest in a better, more consistent scoring threat at another position.

PF – Paul George $44

George is where I invested another big chunk of my salary. George is facing off against Washington. Washington has a bad defense, and I expect George to take advantage of them. George is averaging 43.6 fantasy points on Yahoo, but can easily go off for more than 50. George is averaging more than 24 points and eight rebounds per game. He can rack up stats in almost every category. I am putting most of my eggs in the George and Lillard baskets, rather than going with Curry. Again, this might come back to bite me, but it could also mean a bigger pay day.

F – Paul Millsap $38

I am cautiously using Millsap in my lineup tonight. He is coming off a Saturday game where he finished with shoulder soreness. That said, he is facing off against a very beatable Celtics’ team. The Celtics have a good defense as far as points allowed is concerned, but I do not expect that to translate over to Millsap’s individual statistics. I also am looking for Millsap to flirt with a double-double since Boston gives up a decent amount of defensive rebounds. Millsap’s injury might keep people away from him tonight, which is just another reason I like him so much!

C – Mason Plumlee $19

I really like Plumlee’s value here. He is averaging over 25 fantasy points per game on Yahoo. His season averages are close to a double-double every night. He has only three for the year, but I like his chances of getting his fourth tonight against the Bulls. Chicago struggles with big men. Plumlee will be going up against Pau Gasol. Gasol is known more for his offensive skills than his defensive prowess. He may also see Joakim Noah, someone who is not the defensive mastermind that he used to be. For his price, I can easily see Plumlee hitting 25 or more fantasy points tonight.

UTIL – D’Angelo Russell $17

I am grabbing Russell now before his salary starts to go up. He has been seeing closer to 30 minutes per game lately and is starting to come into his own. The Lakers continue to struggle, but Russell will have his chances to rack up fantasy stats. He has hit double-digit scoring in his last three games, and he has averaged four rebounds and almost three assists per game all season. He has steadily improved throughout the year. My only fear is that he gets caught up in the moment going up against one of the best PGs in the game. If Russell can rise up to the occasion of guarding Stephen Curry, then for $17 Russell could be a steal. This is strictly an upside play and could be risky, but remember you need to take some risks to win at DFS.
