Curry put up nearly 60 FanDuel points against Dallas in their last meeting and could do it again

FantasyPros is proud to be taking part in FanDuel’s new Partners Basketball Championship. Each week from now until March 25, we’ll be posting our top five favorite plays on Wednesday’s and Friday’s to help you set your own lineup. All picks are chosen with FanDuel scoring in mind and you’ll find explanations below on how we came up with the players we’ve named.

Note: With last minute lineup changes, please be sure to read the latest news to make sure a player in the list below isn’t going to miss the contest.

DFS Lineup Tools:

I’ve listed three primary tools that we use to help come up with lineups each night. Each one has its purpose, but ultimately, these help build lineups quickly and efficiently while using a few key metrics to assist with narrowing down selections.

To start, the lineup optimizer is used to generate an initial lineup which we can then fine-tune. I then like to take a look at the matchup ratings to find games that could be high scoring affairs. Finally, the defense vs. position report allows me to quickly determine if I like the matchups at those specific positions, factoring in how many FanDuel points are typically allowed by a given team. If you’re short on time, take advantage of the tools below.

Point Guard:

Stephen Curry (GSW): $10,600 vs. DAL
Dallas believes they can stop Curry and the Warriors, but one thing is for sure, Curry certainly had no problem shredding them up in their last game for 59.8 fantasy points. The Warriors are at an interesting phase of their season where record chasing is openly on their mind. They have not lost a single game at home this year and a Friday night matchup against a Western Conference team that handed them one of their 7 losses, should add fuel to the fire for the reigning MVP.

Shooting Guard:

Wesley Matthews (DAL): $4,100 @ GSW
Matthews has really picked up his play in Dallas’ last two games after the team lost Chandler Parsons for the season. He’s hit the 40 minute mark in their last two games and that should stay consistent again tonight in what should be against a fast-paced Warriors squad. His price is still low for the amount of time he’s playing so get him in your lineup while the value is still there. Dallas will also be missing Deron Williams and Devin Harris which means Matthews will be asked to help shoulder the load.

Small Forward:

Andrew Wiggins (MIN): $6,900 @ WAS
There aren’t a ton of great matchups tonight for small forwards so I’m going with the hot hand here. Wiggins has put up over 20 points in 8 of his last 10 games and is also contributing almost 4 rebounds and 3 assists to go along with the scoring. Minnesota has nothing to lose at this point and the young core will get the opportunity to play a competitive game against a Wizards team who is fighting for a playoff spot.

Power Forward:

Jon Leuer & Mirza Teletovic (PHO): $4,600 & $4,300 @ SAC
Tyson Chandler will miss another game making Leuer the starting center and Teletovic the backup to both Alex Len and Leuer. Sacramento allows more fantasy points to power forwards than any other team in the league and tonight should be no different. You could even throw Alex Len into the mix, although it’ll be hard for him to surpass his value at $6,400. This is a game setup for all three players to put up quality points so don’t be afraid to use them in your lineup while spending at other positions. David Lee is a sneaky good play too as he’ll head back to Golden State where he’ll get his championship ring at the half. He had 16 points and 16 rebounds the last time they played against one another and I expect him to have a little extra pep in his step tonight.

Center:

Hassan Whiteside (MIA): $8,200 vs. ORL
Whiteside gets a great matchup against Orlando who has been struggling on the rebounding end without Nikola Vucevic. Over the last 15 games, Orland has allowed more fantasy points to centers than any other team. Whiteside is always capable of going for 50+ and tonight could be one of those monster double-double nights. I like Cousins against Phoenix, but he’s the most expensive player on the board tonight and Whiteside has near equal upside with a great matchup.
