FanDuel NBA Playoff Lineup Advice: Saturday (4/16)
Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook is easily the top play on today’s slate

What’s going on guys? Geoff Lambert of GoingFor2.com here to bring you today’s NBA FanDuel lineup advice. Normally, I’d give you my value plays for the day, but with this being the NBA playoffs, value plays will get too repetitive as the series’ progress. Instead, I’m going to give you an actual lineup that I will be entering into contests along with my reasoning for each pick. Let’s get to it…

PG – Russell Westbrook (OKC): $10,700 vs DAL
He is averaging 47.7 FanDuel points against the Mavs this year and that includes a game in which he only played 14 minutes. Westbrook is a walking triple-double and is by far my top play of the day. Dallas will have no answer for him this entire series, and this may be the lowest price he will be for the playoffs.

PG – Patrick Beverley (HOU): $5,000 @ GS
When building a DFS lineup for the playoffs, finding value is going to be a difficult task. Those bench players that would get a bump in minutes due to rest days or starters getting limited minutes on a back-to-back are no more. You want guys that are assured minutes, and Beverley will be assured 30-plus minutes in this series because he will be charged with an impossible task; slowing down Stephen Curry. Beverley scored 24 and 25 FD points in the last two games against Golden State — you’ll take that at $5,000.

SG – Avery Bradley (BOS): $6,000 @ ATL
Bradley is a guy that will play a ton of minutes and is the key cog in a very good defensive backcourt for the Celtics. His price is a little steeper than I would like. I liked him much better when he was sub 6K, but he is more than capable of putting up 30-plus FD points — and did just that against this same Atlanta less than a week ago.

SG – Wesley Matthews (DAL): $5,000 @ OKC
Much like Beverly, Matthews is going to play a ton of minutes. In fact, over his last seven games to end the regular season he had over 40 minutes in four of them. Outside of a few duds recently, Matthews has been playing really well and is showing signs of finally getting over his season-ending injury from last year.

SF – Kevin Durant (OKC): $10,600 vs DAL
Yes, I’m taking Westbrook and Durant in this lineup. The Thunder will only go as far as these two guys can take them and their usage rate in these playoffs will be through the roof. Durant would be my top play if it weren’t for his teammate Westbrook.

SF – Kent Bazemore (ATL): $5,300 vs BOS
Bazemore was huge down the stretch for the Hawks, posting 34 of more FD points in four of his last five games, including a 36-point game against these same Celtics.

PF – Paul Millsap (ATL): $8,900 vs BOS
For as good defensively as the Celtics are in the backcourt, they are equally as bad in the frontcourt. Millsap feasted on the Celtics in their game about a week ago — posting a FanDuel score of 65.7. I don’t expect him to do that again, but I can see him getting 45-plus. (You can also afford Draymond Green if you prefer, without changing a thing.)

PF – Patrick Patterson (TOR): $3,800 vs IND
…And here it is. Patterson represents the “risk” of this lineup. He is only averaging 16 FD points against the Pacers, but he only needs 19 to hit five times value and is capable of getting more. Taking Patterson allows me to pay up for Westbrook, Durant, and Millsap, which is worth the risk. Patterson will at least get the minutes he needs to have a good game, but will he is the question.

C – Enes Kanter (OKC): $4,500 vs DAL
Kanter is an obvious choice for a value center tonight. There really isn’t anything at the top of this position that I love, so having Kanter at $4,500 with 30-point upside is a no-brainer.

Good luck today!
