FanDuel NBA Value Plays: Saturday (4/9)

Harkless has been playing great since picking up more minutes

What’s up FantasyPro fans? Geoff Lambert here to bring you today’s NBA Fanduel value plays. With the regular season coming close, I personally cannot wait till the playoffs. There will be no more “rest” days, no more mysterious “illness”, and no more “minutes limit”. Roster your players and feel confident, barring injury, they will play their normal amount of minutes. But until we get there, here are today’s values.

Point Guard

Ronnie Price (PHO) – @ NO $3,800
Price has averaged 30 minutes a game over his last four, which coincides with the season-ending injury to Bandon Knight. Price isn’t a world beater, but in the right matchup, he should have no issues getting you 23 to 27 FanDuel points. The matchup doesn’t get any better than the Pelicans.

Shooting Guard

Dion Waiters (OKC) – @ SAC $4,000
The Thunder are locked into the three seed in the West, and while I don’t expect Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to take another rest day, I can’t imagine them logging a ton of minutes. Waiters is one of those players that needs a ton of minutes to hit value, and he should see a bump in playing time tonight.

Justin Holiday (CHI) – vs CLE $3,600
Holiday has quietly worked himself into the Bulls rotation, logging at least 25 minutes in three of his last four games. There is a certain level of risk involved with him, but at $3,600, he has some upside.

Small Forward

Maurice Harkless (POR) – vs MIN $5,400
I don’t really understand why the Blazers hadn’t been starting him all year? He has arguably been their best player behind Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum over the past few weeks. He gets a great matchup with the Wolves tonight and should easily hit value. He may be the “safest” of all my value plays.

Power Forward

Ed Davis (POR) – vs MIN $4,400
This position has very little value tonight, so Davis, despite his limited upside, gets the nod. Davis averages close to one point per minute, unfortunately, he is lucky if he logs 20 minutes. Power forward is ugly tonight, and could get uglier if some of the top-tier players rest for the playoffs. Davis could be that hidden gem that no one will see coming.

Center

Alexis Ajinca (NO) – vs PHO $4,500
After his 53 FanDuel point explosion last night, he may not be flying under the radar anymore. He gets the Suns tonight in a game in which neither team has anything to play for. This is a nice game to find all your value. In fact, I may even stack this game in a GPP as I expect it to be a high scoring game. My lineup could conceivably have $2,000 or more salary cap dollars left on the table, but it might be worth the risk.
