Q1. What pitcher will you be using in all of your DFS lineups today?

Corey Kluber (SP – CLE): $11,000 @ PHI
“Kluber is the clear #1 option against the Phillies tonight. While there are several upside arms down the list, they all come with high risk. Kluber had a slow start, but there is no cause for concern here. A 3.02 SIERA, 26.6% strikeout rate, 4.6% walk rate and 14% swinging strike rate are ace quality numbers.”

Corey Kluber is the ace I want in my lineups tonight. He is a huge -185 Vegas favorite as of this morning, and is coming off a tremendous 8 inning, 10 strikeout performance against the Tigers where he allowed just two hits and one earned run. Tonight he faces a Philadelphia team that ranks 23rd in team wOBA vs. RHP and is striking out at a 22.1% clip. He’ll be locked and loaded into most of my lineups.”
Justin Elick (Daily Fantasy Circuit)

Sean Manaea (SP – OAK):  $6,100 vs. HOU
“While this is admittedly a risky play on Manaea’s big league debut, he has averaged over 10.00 K/9 in the minors, and the Astros have plenty of guys who will swing and miss. Throw in a decent chance at a win, and Manaea’s price tag seems just right to take a shot in GPP.”

Steven Matz (SP – NYM): $8,500 vs. SF
“The first thing I do every morning is set my dummy lineups and plug them into my daily fantasy sports sites. From there, I spend the day analyzing statistics. From a game theory and roster construction perspective, my initial reaction to Friday’s slate is that I want an inexpensive SP so that I can pay up for bats. I could pay down for Alex Wood (SP – LAD @ $7,800) or Henry Owens (SP – BOS @ $5,900), but I like Matz in the larger ballpark facing a Giants team that may be fifth in scoring, but does not hit LHPs as well as they do RHPs. Matz struggled in his first start of the season but posted a K/BB ratio of 17/2 in his last two starts and allowed just two runs in thirteen innings. The Giants have the fifth fewest implied run total, but have the largest K% upside of these low offenses today.”

Q2. What hitter will you be using in all of your DFS lineups today?

Mike Trout (OF – LAA): $4,900 @ TEX
“If I’m paying up for a hitter tonight, Trout is the pick. He seems to be overlooked most days by the masses, as all the hype is on Bryce Harper and his hot start. Trout has quietly hit four home runs in his last seven games and travels to Texas to face fly ball pitcher Colby Lewis who struggles with allowing home runs.”

Neil Walker (2B – NYM): $3,800 vs. SF
“I’m looking at Walker as the player I’ll have the most exposure to tonight. His salary is high, but high production has more than warranted the price hike. He is crushing RHP this season (.273 ISO, .346 wOBA, and 6 HR in 69 PA). Jake Peavy is a shell of his former self, and in a small sample size this season, he is getting hit hard by left-handed bats (.527 wOBA). He has allowed 18 of the 42 lefties he has faced this season reach base, and while those numbers are inflated by a game at Coors Field, he has pitched poorly in three of his four stars.”
Justin Elick (Daily Fantasy Circuit)

Paul Goldschmidt (1B – ARI): $4,700 vs. COL
“Hitters park and an average pitcher in Tyler Chatwood points to a solid night for Goldy at a sub $5,000 price tag.”
– K.J. (Fantasy Team Advice)

Giancarlo Stanton (OF – MIA): $4,700 @ MIL *Out of Lineup Friday
“The big RHB has averaged 23.16 FFP in his last five games and he has hit four HRs during that span. More impressive is that those HRs came in large ballparks (Dodger Stadium and Giants Stadium) and the Marlins get a positive park upgrade tonight as they head to Milwaukee. Stanton’s price is sub-$5K on FD tonight and it is at a position to exploit before it rises for the weekend games. Moreover, Stanton will face RHP Zach Davies, who has struck out just five batters in eight innings and owns an atrocious 9.72 ERA. Even if Stanton does not go yard tonight, he will have another impressive game in April.”
