The Titans have been rolling and Tajae Sharpe should benefit against the Colts

The clock is ticking loudly with ten weeks of football in the books. So far this season, four players who were likely drafted in the first round of fantasy drafts have been major flops or got hurt (I’m talking about you, Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson, DeAndre Hopkins and Lamar Miller). Look a bit more and you find names like Allen Robinson, Cam Newton, Brandon Marshall and Eddie Lacy not far behind. Suffice to say, start/sit decisions have not been as easy as they should be when it comes to “studs”.

If you’re in the hunt for the playoffs, looking to lock in that first-round bye, or simply trying to play spoiler, we’ve asked our featured experts below to help some of those tough lineup decisions.

If you don’t see any of your players listed below, be sure to check out our Who Should I Start? tool. You can also import your team into My Playbook for instant suggestions specific to your players.

Q1. Give us a player outside of our top 100 Flex that represents a deep sleeper start.

Tajae Sharpe (WR – TEN): at IND
“Sharpe didn’t exactly go off last week, but he did turn four targets into three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. Sharpe has gotten at least three targets in every game but one and Marcus Mariota is rolling right now with six straight games with at least 2 TD passes. He may not rack up a ton of receptions, but I like the opportunity for Sharpe to find the end zone again against the Colts, making him worth a look in Week 11.”
Mark Ross (Athlon Sports)

Ladarius Green (TE – PIT): at CLE
“Green played his first game last week and although he only had three receptions for 30 yards, he also played only 12 snaps. This week, he should be on the field a lot more and he goes against a Cleveland Browns defense that allows a league-worst 13.1 points to fantasy tight ends. I think Green scores his first touchdown of the season on Sunday and he could approach TE1 value. He is a great deep sleeper play for fantasy owners looking to stream a tight end. ”

Jack Doyle (TE – IND): vs. TEN
“Doyle is definitely worth a start, as he should be able to produce low-end TE1 numbers at the very least. Dwayne Allen has returned for the Colts, which has prompted some to be down on Doyle. However, Doyle saw nine targets in the previous game, and that was with Allen on the field. Doyle is still Andrew Luck’s security blanket, and given that the Titans are weak to tight ends, he should be a solid option this week.”
Walter Cherepinsky (WalterFootball)

Ted Ginn (WR – CAR)
“Thursday night’s Saints-Panthers game figures to be a fantasy-point bonanza. Outside of the usual suspects, Ted Ginn makes for an intriguing WR3 or flex. He’s averaged 7.3 targets over his last 4 games and caught exactly 5 balls in all of them. That stretch started with a 5-catch, 54-yard outing vs. the Saints. Ginn posted lines of 4-93 and 5-80-2 against New Orleans last season.”
Jared Smola (Draft Sharks)

DeSean Jackson (WR – WAS)
“Jackson was back at practice Wednesday, and it suddenly looks like he has a real chance to play this week. The over/under in this game is 50.5 points, so it’s safe to expect a shootout, and the Packers have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. DJax is a worthwhile WR3 start if he suits up.”
Dalton Del Don (Yahoo! Sports)

C.J. Fiedorowicz (TE – HOU): at OAK
“Fiedorowicz only had 5 targets in Week 10, but from Week 4 leading up to his Week 9 bye “Fedora” amassed target totals of 5, 8, 7, 7, and 7. Fellow Houston tight ends Ryan Griffin and Stephen Anderson each found paydirt in Week 10, but my money is on the guy who has been one of the most productive tight ends in the game over the last seven weeks to keep producing for Houston. A Week 11 matchup against the Oakland Raiders is helpful, as the Raiders have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.”
Heath Capps (Fake Teams)

Q2. On the flip side, what player inside the top 35 Flex is likely to disappoint fantasy owners this week?

Frank Gore (RB – IND): vs. TEN
“Gore is averaging 4.1 yards per carry and half of his rushing touchdowns came in one game against Green Bay. Outside of Melvin Gordon (196 yards, Week 9), Tennessee has done a good job on running backs. Gore had 61 rushing yards against the Titans back in Week 7, but he needed 17 carries (3.6 ypc) to do it, as his fantasy day was salvaged by a short touchdown catch. Not saying Gore will be a bust this week, but I don’t see him finishing as a borderline top-20 flex option either.”
Mark Ross (Athlon Sports)

Frank Gore managed just 61 rushing yards on 17 carries against the Titans in the first meeting between the two teams. He bailed out his owners with a touchdown, and he’ll have to do that again because he has a very difficult matchup. Tennessee clamps down against the run very effectively, and Gore doesn’t pose much of a challenge; Gore hasn’t eclipsed 61 rushing yards in any contest since his heroic Sunday night performance at Houston in Week 6.”
Walter Cherepinsky (WalterFootball)

Doug Martin (RB – TB): at KC
“Martin should return to a full workload, and there’s no question he can be a difference-maker down the stretch, but this is a tough spot in Kansas City. The Bucs are touchdown underdogs, and the Chiefs have allowed just three rushing touchdowns to running backs this season. Martin seems ranked too high here.”
Dalton Del Don (Yahoo! Sports)

Kelvin Benjamin (WR – CAR): vs. NO
“I keep waiting for Kelvin Benjamin to have a big game and all that happens is my week ends in disappointment. He has not scored a touchdown since Week 4 and he has not had a 100-yard game since Week 2. It is a short week and he is coming off a game where he cost his team the game with a fumble. He may be motivated to make amends, but the Saints are actually 12th against fantasy wide receivers in their last five games. I could see Benjamin underwhelming again this week and not giving fantasy owners that monster game they have been waiting for since his great games in Weeks 1 and 2.”
Derek Lofland (Fantasy Football Maniax)

Todd Gurley (RB – LA): vs. MIA
“Gurley is sitting 13th among RBs in the consensus rankings. The guy hasn’t finished that high since Week 5. In fact, he’s ranked better than 19th just twice all season. Gurley gets a Dolphins defense on Sunday that’s allowed just 4.0 yards per carry over its last 4 games.”
Jared Smola (Draft Sharks)

Jordy Nelson (WR – GB): at WAS
“When the Packers take on Washington, Josh Norman should shadow Jordy Nelson. Aaron Rodgers should instead focus his energy on Davante Adams in the passing game, who draws a much more beatable Breshaud Breeland. It is a definite possibility that Nelson underwhelms in this matchup due to Norman’s skills and to fewer targets. In most season-long leagues you’ll have to start him, but in DFS looking elsewhere for a higher floor seems wise.”
Heath Capps (Fake Teams)
