In a nutshell, what is FantasyPros?
We aggregate and rate expert advice from around the web to make it easy for you to make the best decisions. Our innovative tools provide the easiest way to get the latest and most accurate fantasy advice.

What makes your site different from other fantasy advice sites?
There are plenty of experts and sites that offer great fantasy content. Our mission is to simplify the process of getting the best advice so you can work less and win more. We do this by:

  • Aggregating and organizing advice so you can save time and find exactly what you need.
  • Rating each expert’s historical accuracy to help you find advice that you can trust.
  • Monitoring all top news and advice sources so you can stay ahead of your competition.
  • Providing simple tools that make it easy to get more timely, custom and accurate advice.

Can you provide a brief overview of your various products?
Our About Us page has a brief description of each of our main products and we address some of the frequently asked questions here. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, feel free to contact us.

Which fantasy experts do you track? How did you determine who to include?
We tracked and rated over 40 of the top fantasy experts in 2010 and we plan to increase this number in 2011. We also monitor the advice and news from well over 100 fantasy sources. In terms of selecting our accuracy study participants, we identified the most popular experts based on reputation and traffic to their sites. We also included a few favorite “bloggers” that may not be as well known but offer a good amount of weekly fantasy advice to their readers. Now that more experts know about us, we’ve been receiving a lot of requests for inclusion and we’re excited about expanding our reach.

How are you able to access and rate the advice of paid subscription sites?
We ask for explicit permission from all sites that require a paid subscription to access and utilize their cheat sheets. We’ve been pleased with the response we’ve received from sites like FootballGuys.com – their participation is a testament to their willingness to compete and confidence in their service. If you have a favorite subscription site that we do not currently track, please let us know (and let them know too).

How do the fantasy experts benefit from your service?
We objectively promote the content, products, and services of the best fantasy sites and professionals. They benefit from this because:

  • We provide quality referrals. By providing a search engine and directory, we introduce and link to other sites and professionals that offer the specific content that our users are looking for.
  • We level the playing field. There are “undiscovered” experts that deserve more recognition, but it’s difficult for them to build an audience. Through our unbiased accuracy competition, we’re able to promote the best experts in a completely objective way.
  • We provide free tools and content to the experts. Our Online Player Ranker helps experts produce and update their advice faster and easier. We also offer widgets that provide unique content on their sites and blogs.

What was the impetus for creating FantasyPros?
A couple years ago, we thought it would be cool to track how accurate our favorite fantasy football experts were (just to be able to get an edge in our own leagues). After pulling together a monster spreadsheet for just a couple experts over a couple weeks, we had two major takeaways. First that the data was very cool, and second that no one in their right mind would do all this work just to find out which experts to trust. What got us really excited, however, was that we realized we could use the data for more than just accuracy assessments. By aggregating and organizing the information we were collecting (rankings), we knew we could help people with their player decisions (such as “Who should I start?”) by providing faster, more comprehensive, more timely, and more accurate advice. As recent dads with less time for fantasy but no less desire to win, we knew others would appreciate a site that helped cut down the “work” required to win in fantasy sports.
