Diamondbacks tender contract to Addison Reed

The Diamondbacks tendered a contract to closer Addison Reed. All six arbitration-eligible players were offered a contract and the two sides will exchange proposed salary figures for the 2015 season on Jan. 16 and, if necessary, arbitration hearings are scheduled to take place from Feb. 1-21. Fantasy Impact:
Reed’s first season in Arizona went well with the limited opportunities he was given. His job as the team’s closer is secure and he’ll look to improve on the 32 saves he recorded last year. In NL-only leagues he should be worth a mid-to-late draft pick, and he might be worth a flier in standard leagues.
