Cardinals show interest in Asdrubal Cabrera

Fantasy Impact:
Capable of playing three different positions, Cabrera would likely fill the void left by Daniel Descalso as a utility bench player for the Cardinals. It should be noted that after averaging a .278 batting average for his first six years as a pro, Cabrera topped out at a paltry .242 the past two seasons, including a disastrous stint with the Nationals. The 29-year-old veteran would be valuable for fantasy purposes in the event of an injury to Jhonny Peralta or Kolten Wong.
