Cole Hamels given permission to discuss a trade to the Yankees

Fantasy Impact:
The Yankees are without a stable option in the rotation and Hamels will provide that stability needed. Masahiro Tanaka could be a top-10 SP, but his injury and lack of experience leaves questions, while the rest of the rotation is simply lackluster. Hamels has been in the top 10 of the Cy Young voting in four of his nine MLB seasons and had a stellar 2.46 ERA last year while posting his fifth straight season of 200 or more innings pitched. Hamels is a bonafide top-10 SP and would create one of the best 1-2 punches in the MLB if added with Tanaka in 2015.
