Stephen Drew to re-sign with the Yankees

According to Jon Heyman, the Yankees have a deal in place with Stephen Drew for one year and $5 million and incentives will bring it up to $6 or $7 million. (Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Earlier today there was speculation that Drew would resign with New York and tonight's action verifies the speculation. Drew struggled in 46 games with the Yankees after a trade deadline deal brought him to New York from the Red Sox, but he has a career .747 OPS and four times has had an OPS+ over 100. If Drew can contribute 45 extra base hits, something he has done in four of his nine MLB seasons, he can be a valuable option in 2B/SS or IF roles.
