James Shields to Blue Jays?

by Steve Anagnos | Fri, Feb 6th 10:42am EST

Adding Shields to the top of this rotation could put underachieving Toronto right in the thick of the newly winnable AL East. The Jays would be looking to end their long playoff drought before the window closes on this group of players that has not lived up to expectations. (Toronto Star)

Fantasy Impact:

Shields should be a lock for 15 wins with this potent Blue Jay lineup. Shields finished 2014 with a 3.21 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 180K in 224 innings pitched. Pitching against the AL East should bring those numbers up a little, but consider Shields a solid #2 starter should he sign with the Jays.
