Will Pablo Sandoval give the Red Sox stability at Third Base?

by Charlie Finn | Wed, Feb 11th 6:34pm EST

Adding a Third Baseman to the team seemed to be the Red Sox priority this offseason when they added Pablo Sandoval. After a season where Will MiddleBrooks and Xander Bogaerts both hit for an under .200 average at Third Base for the Red Sox in 2014. Sandoval has not had a year under .268 in his 7 year career, so the consistency the Red Sox are looking for and need at Third Base may be found with "The Panda".

Fantasy Impact:

Living up to Fantasy production hype for Pablo will be one thing this year but living up to a 5 year $100 million plus contract for the Boston Red Sox will be tough enough. Coming off another World Series in 2014, Sandoval will look to push the Red Sox back up the rankings in 2015. Adding a steady bat and a very consistent defense at Third Base is what the Red Sox missed the entire year in 2014. In a line-up with hitters all around him it will be interesting where the Red Sox settle Sandoval into the everyday batting order.
