Carlos Beltran

Carlos Beltran's health is a key part of the Yankees' 2015 season

Carlos Beltran had his worst season of his career in 2014 and his big rebound in 2015 could be the boost that the Yankees offense needs. The team had their fourth worst offensive output in the team's 100 plus year history and Beltan's .703 OPS was a key reason for their struggles. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Beltran has seen his OPS drop for four consecutive seasons, but his drop off in 2014 was massive. He was dealing with bone spurs in right elbow, a major reason that he had only 38 extra base hits and 48 RBI. Beltran did have 15 home runs last year in 109 games but posted the lowest batting average in his career. The opportunity for Beltran to DH will also be limited this year, as Alex Rodriguez has returned from suspension and the Yankees added Garrett Jones. Beltran may return to an OPS in the high .700s, but is unworthy of a fantasy roster spot.
