Madison Bumgarner took the mound for the first time this spring against the Oakland A's and did not fare well. He was knocked around for 3 runs on 5 hits, including a 2-run home run allowed to Marcus Semien.
Fantasy Impact:
This outing should not raise any red flags. Bumgarner has been one of the most consistent fantasy aces over the past few seasons and there is no reason to believe that trend won't continue. Bumgarner should go off the board as one of the first five-to-ten starting pitchers in fantasy drafts.
