Chris Young starts for the Yankees and has a good beginning to spring

by Chris Zolli | Tue, Mar 3rd 4:39pm EST

Chris Young started in right field for the Yankees, hitting third, and was 1-2 with a run scored.

Fantasy Impact:

Young will be the fourth outfielder for the Yankees this year and mainly will provide assistance to Carlos Beltran in right field. In 71 at bats with the Yankees in 2014, Young had a .876 OPS and .282 batting average. That batting average is incredibly good considering his career batting average is only .232. Young has three seasons of 20 home run and 20 steals, but his poor batting average and free swinging tendencies made him a bench player. Young could be worth streaming at times this season but has no real fantasy value.
