Michael Pineda monitored by Blue Jays

Fantasy Impact:
Pineda pitched for the Twins in 2019 prior to receiving a 60-game ban for performance-enhancing drug use. As a result, he'll be sidelined for just over the first month of the 2020 season. This will certainly impact his fantasy value, as will his ultimate landing spot this winter. When he was active in 2019, Pineda was effective, tossing a 4.01 ERA and 1.158 WHIP with nearly a strikeout per inning over 146 frames spanning 26 starts.
