R.A. Dickey

Dickey impressive in first start

by Steve Anagnos | Sat, Mar 7th 8:56am EST

RA Dickey pitched two scoreless innings with great movement on his knuckleball in his first spring start. He retired the six batters he faced in the first and second innings, striking out the side in the first frame. "Sometimes it's not about anything other than throwing a good knuckleball; it doesn't matter the conditions, it doesn't matter the humidity," Dickey would state after the game. (MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Dickey lives and dies with the knuckler, so this is encouraging news. When he has that knee buckling knuckler moving he can put plenty of K's on the board. He should get great support from that big Blue Jay lineup as well, so 15 wins are a reasonable expectation if he stays healthy.
