Denard Span undergoes right core surgery

Nationals center fielder Denard Span underwent surgery to repair his right core muscle on Monday, the team announced. Manager Matt Williams said Span will be out 4-6 weeks before he can resume baseball activities. (Nats Insider)
Fantasy Impact:
With Jayson Werth and fourth outfielder Nate McLouth both recovering from shoulder surgery, Span's injury eats into the Nationals' depth. The Nats may be able to get by with prospect Michael Taylor and veteran Tony Gwynn, Jr., but with the team "all in" for 2015, a trade is possible.
