Starling Marte viewed as run producer

Clint Hurdle told reporters today that he sees Starling Marte as a run producer first and a run scorer second. (Travis Sawchik on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
This is positive news for Marte's value as a fantasy option. Once he was moved down to fifth in the Pirates order last year, he played much better. With his base stealing ability and a solid Pirates lineup, Marte should be able to drive in and score plenty of runs this season.
