Ryan Howard goes 1-for-2 in loss to Orioles

by Kerry Kauffman | Mon, Mar 16th 6:25pm EDT

Although the Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 16-4, there were a few positives to take from the game. One was the hitting of Ryan Howard, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a walk. Howard homered in each of the two previous games and is now hitting .258 this spring.

Fantasy Impact:

Howard is trying to bounce back from a somewhat poor 2014 in which he hit just .223 with a .690 OPS. He did hit 23 home runs and 95 RBI, but those numbers are significantly down from just a few seasons ago. Howard should be a good fantasy power option this season, whether he remains with the Phillies or is traded.
