Carlos Gonzalez explained his strategy against "the shift" that more and more pull hitters are having to deal with. With Tulo following him in the lineup, Cargo plans to lay more bunts down when the SS is hot to get on base for him. He also plans to use the open opposite field situationally, such as when the wind blows in from right field in San Francisco, or when Clayton Kershaw is pitching, etc. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
It sounds good on paper and it could give Cargo's BA a boost if he can execute it, but the last thing you want is to see Cargo get taken out of his game. That game is power and driving in runs, which he does exceptionally when healthy.
