Brett Gardner triples in the Yankees win

The leadoff triple was Gardner's first extra base hit and only hit in three at bats against the Tigers. Gardner is hitting .156 this spring.
Fantasy Impact:
Gardner needs to show the skills that led to him having 50 extra base hits for him to be able to be an OF3. Gardner has 37 plate appearances this spring and only has one extra base hit and is also yet to steal a base. Gardner is billed as a good, cheap option for a power and steal combination, but he needs to show that he can get on base to be useful. His .327 OBP from 2014, and .265 OBP in spring, will not cut it at the top of the Yankees lineup.
