Jayson Werth, who has been playing defense-only in minor league games, is still experiencing soreness in his right shoulder when he swings a bat, according to Nationals manager Matt Williams. (Chris Johnson via Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
With only eight games left before the April 6 opener, if you draft Werth, plan for him to start the season on the DL. He could be ready as soon as mid-April with Tyler Moore as his short-term replacement in left field. At age 36, Werth wasn't going to play 162 games, but his power may be impacted by the injury.
