Justin Morneau began Cactus League Play scuffling at the plate and he has continued to scuffle. Through 24 at bats, Morneau has only 3 hits leading to a .125 batting average.
Fantasy Impact:
While Morneau will begin the season as the starting 1B after having a great season in 2014, he may be working himself into a platoon with Willin Rosario. Rosario has been scorching at the plate and the Rockies are not sold on him continuing to catch a lot games. The only other spot for Rosario would be 1B and that may eat into Morneau's at bats, and especially his fantasy value. Draft Morneau as a value pick and hope he gets it turned around when the season begins.
