The Philadelphia Phillies managed just 5 hits in a 10-0 pounding at the hands of the New York Yankees on Friday. Ryan Howard was one of many Phillies who struggled, going 0-for-2 with 3 men left on base. Howard's average in Grapefruit League play dipped to .200.
Fantasy Impact:
Howard still has power, but it's clear he's not the same player he was a few years ago. At this stage of his career, Howard is strictly a one-dimensional player. Since his batting average has been in decline, Howard has limited fantasy value if he's struggling hitting the long ball.
