Miami Marlins pitcher David Phelps came out of the bullpen on Sunday and pitched 2 innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 2.
Fantasy Impact:
The outing actually nearly doubled his Grapefruit League ERA to an even 1.00. With Tom Koehler struggling to get outs and Phelps excelling every time he's on the mound, the Marlins fifth starter competition may get interesting. Koehler will likely start the year in the rotation and Phelps in the bullpen, but a few poor outings by Koehler may cause the roles to switch.
