Evan Gattis claws two hits on Sunday

by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Sun, Mar 29th 6:08pm EDT

As the starting DH Sunday afternoon against the New York Yankees, Evan Gattis went 2 for 4 with a single, a double and a strikeout. His batting average has now risen to a stellar .385 throughout Spring Training. This puts him second in batting average among projected regular season starters, just behind third baseman Luis Valbuena. (Astros.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Solidifying his hitting style towards making more contact, Gattis is proving once and for all why GM Jeff Lunhow worked tirelessly to get him from the Atlanta Braves this past off season. If you are not able to draft him early on your fantasy roster, then trade for him with other players in your league. Either way, you won't be sorry with Evan Gattis around.
