Braves release RP James Russell

Russell really struggled against left-handed hitters this spring. So badly, in fact, that the Braves chose to eat $604,000.00 owed him from a $2.4M arbitration settlement reached in January. He had a 12.27 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP against left-handers this spring, extending the troubles he had against them last season. (Mark Bowman)
Fantasy Impact:
Louis Avilan, Josh Outman, and Brady Fiegl are the lefties still competing for spots. Fantasy wise there is really nothing here that would affect rosters in any format unless you need deep relief-pitching.
