Sean Manaea takes the loss vs. Rockies on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Mets Correspondent | Wed, Sep 16th 11:53am EDT

Sean Manaea took the loss on Tuesday when he allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out seven and walking one across 5 2/3 innings in Oakland's 3-1 loss to Colorado.

Fantasy Impact:

Manaea was sharp early in the game as he retired the first six batters he faced and only allowed three Rockies' to reach through the first four innings. A two-run blast off the bat of Elias Diaz in the fifth inning and a Josh Fuentes sac fly in the sixth accounted for all of Colorado's runs. Oakland couldn't get much going offensively so Manaea took his first loss since July 31st. After a rough start to the season the left-hander has really turned it around over the last month with a 2.25 ERA and 0.93 WHIP across five starts. He rarely pitches deep enough to get a quality start, he only has one so far this season, but he's been a reliable low WHIP arm in fantasy leagues and will look to keep it rolling in his next start at the Dodgers.
