Miguel Montero had a two hit day at the plate in blowout win

by Nathaniel Schwartz | Mon, Mar 30th 7:41am EDT

Montero had himself a solid day, as he went 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored himself. His RBI came on a towering home run (his second of spring) in the first inning.

Fantasy Impact:

Montero is steadily creeping up towards the Mendoza line, now sitting at a .189 average. He has not been an everyday player in spring, instead having to share time with both Welington Castillo and Rafael Lopez, so Montero may not have many more chances to raise his batting average before the season starts. He was batted third in the lineup though, so clearly the Cubs have faith in Montero's offensive ability.
