Pedro Alvarez doing okay at first base

Pedro Alvarez seems to be adjusting to playing first base for the Pirates. He made a nice pick on a Jung-Ho Kang throw and recovered to record an out after bobbling another throw. (Bill Brink on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Although defense does not matter for fantasy value, this is a good sign for Alvarez. First, his poor fielding seemed to affect his hitting last year, and if defense is on his mind less this year, he can focus more on hitting. Second, it will give the Pirates faith in his fielding and more confidence in playing him everyday. Alvarez continued his strong spring Wednesday with another home run.
