Ryan Howard goes 1-for-2 in final spring game

by Kerry Kauffman | Sat, Apr 4th 4:00pm EDT

Ryan Howard has undoubtedly struggled at this plate this spring. While he's hit three home runs, Howard has been hitting under .200. He finished the spring on a positive, going 1-for-2 with a run scored and a walk. Howard finished Grapefruit League play with a .176 batting average in 74 at-bats.

Fantasy Impact:

Howard is penciled in at the cleanup spot, behind Chase Utley and ahead of Carlos Ruiz. Should Ben Revere, Odubel Herrera and Utley produce, Howard will have plenty of RBI opportunities. He's likely not to hit for a high average, but should still be productive in home runs and RBI. Expect Howard to be a good, but not spectacular fantasy first baseman this season.
