Wilin Rosario has spent Spring Training trying out as Justin Morneau's primary backup at first. The Rockies, set behind the plate with defensive Nick Hundley as well as catcher Micheal McKerny have spent the Spring seeing if Rosario can backup at 1st base. (Denver Post )
Fantasy Impact:
Rosario might not have turned heads at 1st base this spring but Rockies manger Walt Weiss found Rosario "serviceable" at first. If Rosario keeps hitting and the Rockies find ways to get him ABs Wilin Rosario will be a player to look at once he has duel eligibility at 1B and catcher.
