Brandon Belt leaves with a groin injury

by Jeff Krisko | Tue, Apr 7th 11:26pm EDT

Brandon Belt pulled up lame on a pop up to right field foul territory. He was seen gesturing that it appears to be a groin injury just before leaving the game. (CBSSports.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Poor Belt can't catch a break. After missing triple digit games to injuries last season, he appears to have strained his groin before hitting 15 innings this season. Belt was 1-for-2 with an RBI tonight after going hitless in the season opener last night. The likely replacement is Adam Duvall from the minor leagues, though Andrew Susac could get called up, shifting Buster Posey to first base.
