Andre Ethier stays hot with home run

by Eric Westlund | Wed, Apr 15th 2:05am EDT

Andre Ethier pulled a ball just inside the foul pole in the sixth inning of Tuesday's game against the Mariners. It was his first home run in 146 plate appearances, and his bat has responded very well to a bench role so far this season. (Pedro Moura on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Ethier is slashing .267 / .353 / .667 with 15 of his 16 plate appearances coming against right-handed pitching. Last season was a disaster at the plate, as he posted a wRC+ of 98 after six consecutive seasons of 120 or better. If his bounce-back year continues, he could be one of the most valuable bench hitters in real baseball, but unfortunately he will not provide steady fantasy value.
