Jonathon Niese defeats Phillies, moves to 1-0

In the Mets 6-1 win over the Phillies, Niese worked out of trouble for most of the night. In 6.1 IP, Niese allowed nine hits, two walks and one ER, while striking out four.
Fantasy Impact:
Niese doesn't offer much in terms of fantasy value, outside of deeper mixed leagues or NL-only leagues. In such leagues, he's a back of the rotation SP option who can be streamed based upon matchup. His next start is scheduled against the Braves at home.
