Long ball issues continue for Cole Hamels

In his second consecutive start of the year against the Washington Nationals, Cole Hamels faltered. 5 earned runs over 6 innings while also allowing a combined 9 hits and walks. The 7 Ks are Hamels' only saving grace for fantasy owners.
Fantasy Impact:
5 earned runs from a guy who is expected to be an ace is always disappointing, but the home-run issue for Hamels has to start being addressed. Through 3 games this season Hamels has half the number of home-runs allowed as he had all of last season. Keep an eye on Hamels in his next trip to the mound, if he doesn't start to neutralize the opposing bats power this could turn into a very long season for the Philies ace.
