Dexter Fowler sustains minor groin injury

by Aaron Goldberg | Thu, Apr 23rd 9:47am EDT

Dexter Fowler was removed in the 3rd inning from the Cubs' game against the Pirates on Wednesday, April 23rd after tweaking his right groin while running to first base on a 1st inning bunt single. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Fowler said the injury isn't serious and hopes to play on Friday. He is hitting .246 with 1 HR, 10 R, and 4 RBIs on the season, with a .328 OBP. Both the AVG and OBP numbers are about 40 points below his career averages. He is blessed with a prime batting order slot on a rising offense, and hopefully the injury doesn't keep him out for more than a day or two, if at all.
