CC Sabathia struggles against the Mets on Saturday

by Chris Zolli | Sat, Apr 25th 5:42pm EDT

Coming off of two solid outings, CC Sabathia only lasted five innings against the Mets, allowing nine hits and seven runs. Sabathia allowed three home runs as his ERA rose to 5.96

Fantasy Impact:

The positive for Sabathia is that his K:BB ratio rose to 5.5, but that is really the lone consulation. Sabathia was done in by the big inning again, as he allowed four runs in the fourth inning, and allowed a lot of hard contact on outs as well. His damage was not limited to when he pitched as well, as Juan Lagares was left on base when Sabathia left the game and Esmil Rodgers allowed him to score the Mets' seventh run. Sabathia's fantasy value is minimal and he may be more hurt than he is leading on; he struggled to cover first base on a Curtis Granderson infield single and looked like he was limping the whole way. If you own Sabathia, drop him immediately.
