Andre Ethier provides the winning margin

by Eric Westlund | Thu, Apr 30th 1:09am EDT

Andre Ethier hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning in Wednesday night's win against the Giants and finished 1-for-4. He also made a spectacular catch on a deep line drive to rob the Giants of at least two runs in the top of the second in a game the Dodgers would ultimately win by four. Fantasy Impact:

Ethier is now hitting .304 / .400 / .587 in 55 plate appearances with a K%, B%, and BABIP all in line with career norms. He should be in fantasy lineups as long as Yasiel Puig remains sidelined. The long-term injury to Carl Crawford may put Ethier in line for a full-time role even after Puig returns, although he faces stiff competition from Scott Van Slyke as Crawford's replacement.
