Ryan Howard cools off in loss to Mets

by Kerry Kauffman | Sun, May 10th 4:51pm EDT

Ryan Howard went 0-for-4 on Sunday in the Phillies 7-4 loss to the New York Mets. Howard, who had been hitting the ball well of late with eight hits in his last 16 at-bats, is now batting .222 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Howard, despite the low batting average and high strikeout rate, is on pace for nearly 30 home runs and 80 RBI this season. While not the numbers Howard produced in his prime, he's still a good power option at first base.
