Clayton Kershaw records 1500th career strikeout but allows five earned runs

by Stan Son | Dodgers Correspondent | Sun, May 10th 7:01pm EDT

Clayton Kershaw was cruising along until the fourth inning Sunday in Colorado. He allowed five earned runs in that one inning. It was death by a thousand paper cuts as only one ball was hit hard. On the day, Kershaw pitched 5.2 innings, allowed eight hits, five earned runs, walked four, and struck out five. 62-of-110 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

I'm sure Kershaw owners are not happy with the results so far, but good times will come very soon. His BABIP against is .352 for 2015, while his career BABIP against is .278. Batters are hitting .333 with RISP this year, as opposed to .190 last year. He will get it clicking and should start dominating again.
